Do you like animals? What's your favorite?

I've always loved animals ever since I was little. I used to like watching the birds in the park and there was a pond with fish in it, too. When I was a kid I always wanted a puppy but I could never have one. But that's okay. Let's just say I got over it!
But I still love animals of all kinds and even went veggie a few years ago because I don't like the idea how they are kept and farmed and killed and stuff. I know other people have other ideas but that's the conclusion I've come to for myself.
But I do have a favorite animal in all the world. It might surprise you because it's not a lion or an eagle or anything like that. My favorite is definitely the hedgehog. They're so cute!

@Borlotti I could never have them slaughtered for their meat or their hide. Maybe milk them for their cheese but then that deprives their kids, so no. I’ll just have them around the place in a big field so that they can enjoy just being goats rather than being exploited. I’m soft.

Wow, I hadn't thought of farm animals. Goats are great. Actually, I've never seen a goat in real life, but I bet they're great. And would you have them as pets/companions or would you, like, farm them and get milk from them?

Hi Titia! You're lucky to have hedgehogs that come into your garden. Do they only come at night or do you see them in the daytime, too? You're so lucky to have goats. How many have you got? Is it like just a few pets or flocks and flocks of them? PS: I dig spiders, too. And snakes. And all animals.

@TitiaG Thanks for sharing, Titia. Let's hope now you've complained they'll do something about it because honestly I wouldn't ever think about going back to the website and if I saw a search result with that in, I'd choose a different one. But you mentioned "those will bring in the money". So, do you get paid, then, to write articles on Hubpages? Maybe I'm being nosy so you totally don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but how much do you get paid and how many articles do you have to write? Do you think I could get a job there, writing articles? I could sure use some extra income right now!

@Borlotti They live into my garden, I have found where they hibernate, inside an old terracotta pot under the back porch... I do not disturb them. They are extremely useful, they eat those disgusting slugs, but they also like dry cat food. I can hear them munching during the night, they are noisy.

Hi Anna! We could be friends for sure, if you love hedgehogs! Yeah, I heard that they like to eat cat food. I wonder why? Mostly, in the wild, they eat worms and beetles, I think. Do they come into your garden a lot?

Hi Teti! Yeah, baby animals are so cute, you're right! Baby humans are cuter than most adult humans, too, I reckon. I bet I can guess what your favorite baby animal is: orangutan. Am I right?

I like animals like birds as well as cats and dogs. Dogs are my favorite pets.

Hi George! Thanks for sharing. That's so cool. hedgehog is my favorite animal but dogs are definitely my favorite pets. Or they would be if I could have one. My grandma had a parrot that lived longer than she did! Do you have any pets? I guess you have digs, right? I'd love to know what kind and what names they have!

That is a cute picture of a hedgehog. I also wanted a puppy when i was little and one Hannuka instead of a puppy my brother gave me a hamster. The hamster ate its babies. Hedgehogs are cute. I love animals but my favorite are dogs and cats. I had a dog and loved her very much and had a cat with my dog and loved her too. I love my cat I have now.

@Hannihar Thanks for explaining about the albino hamster. Oh, you're cat Sophie is so beautiful! She looks like a goddess-cat sitting like that on the chair. You must love her very much. She has really got long hair hasn't she? Do you brush and comb her or do you let her groom herself?

Rabbits are very cute and fluffy! Do you have a dog or any rabbits at home? I've heard that some people even keep rabbits in high up apartments and have trained them to go to do their business in a tray like you can do with cats!

Basically I like all kinds of animals, too, but I really fell in love with Cheetahs.

@CheetahFaith It must have been amazing to see them in real life, even in the zoo. But for an animal that likes to run so fast, the zoo must be a sad place. I guess they can't really keep them in a big field because they'd just run away. Not sure if zoos are okay or not. Did the cheetah seem sad?

Hi! Yeah, cheetahs are super cool! They beautiful and sleek and fast. They can run, like, 70 mile per hour or something. So, I guess, a cheetah could easily overtake your car on the highway! Have you ever seen a real cheetah, live?

Hi Jabo! Thanks for your contribution. Another hedgehog lover, yay! No we don't have them here, but that doesn't stop them being my favorites. Some friends on here have said their favorites are lions and cheetahs and stuff, and we don't have those, either! Actually, though, sometimes people do see them, but they're not really from here, they're escaped pets. Usually African pygmy hedgehogs. They are super-cute.

Yes i do. But only some animal like cat , hamster, and bird. They are so cute and make me comfortable.

Hi Engki! I'm glad you like animals, too! Cat and hamster and bird are good choices, right? Although the hamster and the bird might not think so if you let the cat get near them!
