My friend and I are taking a hike today in the Mt. Diablo foothills. Actually we'll be going in at Black Diamond Mines, and searching for a rock cave where (legend has it) someone used to live.
The fog has rolled in from the Delta, and it hasn't burned off yet, so it could be an interesting hike. It's also only about 45 degrees F out, so I'll be wearing long pants and my Winter coat.
I'll see if I can find a picture from one of our previous hikes around here.

i love hikes. I am not sure i would mind fog. As long as the air is warm. If its cold, fog makes me colder

@DocAndersen I think any hiking is good. I have lower back pain, but a cuople of PT back sretches really helped that. I feel good today.

@TheHorse that sounds amazing -I did 10 miles today but not much vertical gain (less than 1000 feet)

@kaylachan I may order some sushi and then soak my feet.

I was wondering if you meant an atmospheric fog or a mental one...

Great picture. I hope you enjoyed your hike. I remember that west coast fog. Very pervasive!
