Tires and Online Shopping

My son called me before he left work this morning to let me know the roads were slick. It had snowed and sleeted all night. He slid a few times. On his way home, he did a 180. It's good traffic is next to nothing at that hour of the morning. Time for new tires.
I called the used tire place and found I didn't need an appointment. So he came and got me, and we went over and got two new tires on the car. That should be good for quite a while.
When I got home, I went online and ordered Christmas presents for my older son and daughter. Going near my older son is out of the question since he has COVID. I also talked to him to find out what he wanted for Christmas, so it was easy to order and I found a nice gift for my daughter and granddaughter too who lives in Texas.
I also sent Christmas cards their way. I have one for the mail lady and for the office too.
I also got my mail from the box that arrived yesterday. Thank you Coral @TheSojourner for the beautiful gift and I received a card from Thelma.
So, it was a busy morning. Now, I'm going to walk the Christmas card for the office over there and then get the notifications finished again.

So your son didn't get the car yet, I'm praying about this and will continue. I'm sorry your older son has COVID, this is terrible! Our Christmas cards are all in the mail, what a relief. Coral is a very sweet lady!

Yes, so important to have new tires in snow areas. I didn't know your son had COVID..how is he doing?

@just4him That is tough...glad he is doing better, but sometimes people suffer effects long after the virus has passed. I hope that is not him!

we've cancelled such here. i'm sure the young'uns'll be celebratin', the youngest continues to believe this covid schtuff 'tis no big deal...

i keep fingers crossed'n say loads 'f prayers.

Day is going OK. Was a little upset earlier when I discovered the cards I put in the mail a few days ago were still in the mailbox (others check the mail daily so I dont always go to the box unless I am expecting something) when I went to put more cards in the mail which means the mailman we had the last couple of days didn't come up the alleyway to check or delivery mail. Substitute drivers dont always know where we are even if they have mail.

I hope the tires will work good on the car. That was nice of them to send you nice things. Yesterday I was not here because it was our Jewish Sabbath and no work done on that day. I was out on the porch for a while and then sat by the door to the porch later on.
