I have no time to fight the time out problem. I have been involved in chat for over forty five minutes, and it is almost time to leave for church.
Briefly, my husband refuses to change phones, ever. However Dec. 31 his flip phone was going to completely quit working.
I got him a cheap refurbished tracfone smartphone just like mine. I want him to learn to text.
His phone was so old I could not transfer it myself. I accidentally activated MY number on his phone, which deactivated mine, and etc.
We got it all fixed now, I assume.
Whew. . . it is time to go to church, but he is in the bathroom trying to shave.

This customer service person did a good job. I tried to call the help line first, and that was frustrating to me. Chat person seemed to know what she was doing.

I bought it online and it is a tracfone. However they have quit activating the tracfones in the store for you about two years ago.

I think I may get him to speak to text. He did decide he wanted to learn how to call someone on the phone. I am on break and we are taking things one step at a time.

I have a long break and we are taking it one step at a time. He actually wanted to make a call today. So he learned that skill.

Here they seem to keep upgrading everything to the point the phone will not work. It forces you to buy a new one.

I hardly ever use the phone, at all, so it makes no sense for me to have one of those that work far from home. I don't have voice mail nor call waiting. If someone phones and I'm not home, they can try again later.

It appears we were successful and that I did not lose anything from my phone except I perhaps missed a text from my daughter.

Part of what took so long was that I made a mistake at one point and chat person had to fix it for me. I am glad she could.
