Does anyone remember that show? It was a cartoon in the mid 80's. I don't actually remember if I ever watched it, but I believe I might have had a toy or two from the series.
I was surfing through etsy one day when I came across a yarn that was named Rainbow brite. Lots of blacks and neons that make me think of a techno party. Either way, today when I was at walmart I bought a redheart yarn that have those same neon colors mixed with black. I thought it would make a good coat or shirt and I've already picked out a pattern / tutorial that I am going to follow.
I'm excited about it if I'm being honest. My fingers have been itching to create.
Are you doing more crafting this season?

I made reindeer candy canes with antlers made out of pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and little red felt balls for noses. They turned out great and everybody loves them. And they were so easy to make!
My fingers can be creative too! lol

How did you put googly eyes on a candy cane?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Elmer's glue. I just glued the eyes and nose right to the plastic wrap on the candy cane.

Rainbow Brite was after my time. Enjoy your new yarn. I know you'll make something great. My hands won't allow me to do any needlework anymore.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you still enjoy watching others do it? I know there's plenty of youtube channels for all sorts of needle crafts.

@LindaOHio I understand that. I feel like watching the videos would just make me want to do them more and make me feel worse for not being able to anymore.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I'd prefer to be doing it myself!

I had a Rainbow Brite toy as well.
Crafting is so much fun. Have you ever seen Making It? They have all kinds of people doing a crafting competition. Then, for the more common or tradiotional crafts there was a show called Holiday Crafters Gone Wild. That one was my favorite because they were more accessible crafts.

I haven't seen either of those shows but they sound really fun. Where do you find them?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Making It is on NBC, and I think season 3 starts in the spring. Holiday Crafters was on HGTV. It was a 2 hour special a couple of weeks ago.

Rainbow Brite was more my sister's generation if I'm being honest. I wasn't born until '87.
But I got all my brother, sister's and cousins hand me downs so...

I am doing nothing of the sort. Not today and most likely not tomorrow either.
Glad you are Amber.
And yes I do remember Rainbow Brite.

I don't think I watched that cartoon when I was little. I am still doing my latch hook rug. But I didn't work on it while Chris was here. I will be finishing it in two weeks. Then I will be working on diamond painting.

Nah, me neither. I just remember having the toy, probably hand me down from my sister.
I want to try plastic canvas at some point and eventually I'll give diamond painting a try just for fun.

I am not doing more crafting, yet. More decluttering. My daughter had the Rainbow Bright horse, white with multicolored mane and tail. Also, if I am not mistaken, the green character. Patty O' Greene maybe?

Patty O' Greene sounds familiar, but am not sure if that was from Rainbow Bright or not. I vaguely remember having the horse myself, most likely a hand me down from my sister.

Never been one for crafting. So, I'd have to say, not really. However, I do remember growing up watching Rainbow Brite. Funny, it was the precursor to My Little Pony: Friendship is Matic.

I'm not doing any crafting, I can't sit for very long without needing to walk around.

I have been known to crochet and walk at the same time, though the progress is slow. I can't make my fingers fly fast at the same time as my feet.

It might not have been. I am not sure which countries it was shown in. Spring is a good time to craft. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I hope so. It's just going to be a simple blouse, but once it's finished I'll take a picture and show it here.

@Nevena83 I will start on it tonight but I am not sure how long it will take. I am not sure if this pattern is for two panels that will be sewn together or if it's one that is completed in one whole piece. I hope it's the latter because I am not confident in my sewing skills.
