Long day away today

Original plan: eye doctors, drop hubby's books off, Wal Mart, Pharmacy for a prescription, visit my sister, home about 2, but stuff happened.
Was in line at pharmacy and realized I had not put my flexible spending card back in my holder that I took in, so I had to go back to the truck. It was nearly noon, I was hungry, so I ate an orange, before getting out of the truck, locking it, and going inside. From there on out, stuff happened:
Stuff #1 I had called in the prescription, but they needed to talk to the doctor as I was out of refills. Doctor's office had not yet called back. I figured they would at noon, though, so I was going over to my sister's to wait.
Stuff #2 I discovered I had left the keys inside the truck in the console. I could see them through the window.
Stuff #3 Bob had laid his phone down. I had to call him 5 times before I could ask him to please bring me keys.
So I walked over to my sister's place to wait. It is not far, just across a store parking lot and through the grass into the apartment complex. She gave me coffee and a donut.
My sister, and a couple of her friends are always wanting to give me food they have on hand from commodities. One of those friends showed up. Then Bob showed up. We went and got the truck.
Bob left to go look for more library books. My sister's friend talked my leg off. It goes mostly in one ear and out the other. I ended up with about three bags of groceries.
It was nearly 5 before my prescription was processed, but I was not driving an hour home without it.
I had a $15 copay on my optometrist appointment. I am electing to get new glasses. Sure glad I have insurance that pays part on the frames and part on the prescription, because before insurance it was $719. After, it was $400 something. They will not be in for a couple of weeks.
Stuff # whatever. As I got ready to pay my $15 copay, they discovered that there was a $90 fee from my appointment 6 months ago that I had never been billed for. So I paid $105 today.
So forgive me for being absent today.
I am going to snack and go to bed. See ya tomorrow

Yes, finally. I did my best not to get agitated about it and to "go with the flow".

Did you know the reason why eyeglasses are so expensive is that one company (Luxottica) has a virtual monopoly on the business, under various company names?

I am not at all surprised. Mine, though, cost about three times as much as anyone else because of a complicated refraction as well. I do not hardly dare go to Wal Mart, like my sister does or fill it online. They might mess up.

I have boosted hubby up to a smart phone, and he has trouble knowing just how to answer it yet. He is beginning to see some advantages, though. Yes, my glasses get an anti reflective, uva and b, scratch resistant coating on top of everything else. I put off new ones as much as I can. It has been nearly 3 years. I started with vision insurance last year and it covers a certain part of the new glasses, so I figured I would do it. I have barely changed, vision wise, in five or six years.I also have money taken out every month to put into an account to pay for things like this.

@noni1959 I fall asleep quickly. I just do not like all the steps it takes to get there, like brushing teeth etc.

I am sleeping really well. Doing my stretching exercises also helps me rest well.
