What would your ideal online job look like?

You are offered to get paid for whatever you choose to do online as long as you do it for 8 hours daily, 5 times a week. Just like a real daily job. The job has to be at least little bit believable and work-demanding, so you cannot pick something as simple as watching random videos/movies or play a game. My take on this is,I would probably pick doing online trivia quizzes (something in a similar manner of Jeopardy or Who wants to be a millionaire type of shows) and expand my knowledge every day while simultaneously getting paid for it :). I am a big geography/history nerd, so I think I would have one hell of a shift, time passes fast when you do something that you enjoy.

I can't think of anything online that I have the skills for. Maybe sewing if it could pay a real salary. Or dog sitting.

@eshtreef I can't sew online. I can't think of anything online I could do to earn a living.

@paigea @eshtreef I guess you could do sewing tutorials on youtube and hope it was really popular.

How can you sew online I didn't understand that part. Sewing as in retail factories? Dog sitting would be pretty cool on the other hand.

If a site like this paid more, then I might put in the effort to dedicate a full eight hours to it. Posting online like this is easy, not too overly demanding on my body (because I know when to take a break), and I'm making a contribution and possibly helping someone in the process.

Yeah I forgot to mention, if the hourly wage offered was at least close if not equal to a real full eight hours job haha. You are right, besides the earning and having fun part, posting online, especially here on myLot, it is one way of releasing yourself and sorta like your personal blog post.

@eshtreef Yes, exactly. I find it quite rewarding to post, especially if I can help someone out while doing it. The money doesn't hurt, either.

Oh nice one. Most semi-professional/professional programmers are doing it anyways for 8+ hours a day, and some without the getting paid part. I have always admired programming because generally it can be quite stressful especially if you hit a brick wall with those codes. It requires dedication and patience of a saint

@eshtreef Some say 5$ per day is not hard but I still didn't manage that.

@mrki444 Depends on the type of job you are doing. $5 per day for experienced freelancers is a piece of cake. $5 daily on sites like myLot is impossible on the other hand tho.

I would like to sit here on MyLot all day long making a cool $15 or so an hour. That would be sweet. Oh, and I want a pension, a 401k plan, health benefits, and free lunches just for good measure.

@eshtreef Only $15 a day would a tougher thing to swallow. I mean, if I want to make LIVING I am going to need more than just $15 a day. All or nothing, my friend.

@porwest Hahahah you are totally right. I'd take 15 a day offer but only if it is as we do it now, a fun part time hobby/job, without having to work a full 8 hour shift for it.

@eshtreef If I get a different job it will. Technically I dont have a job because I am a contractor for delivering catalogues so they can pay me peanuts and noone will care.

Good choice if you are prone to it, and I hope your wage gets increased one day.

Nice, hopefully that you will not be as biased and mainstream as the actual media we have right now.
