I just love to share these kinds of stories where a donor who in this case is female who goes by the name "Miss Santa" who saw a news report from a Nashville television station decided to contact Gallatin Tennessee Mayor Paige Brown so she could pay off the utility bill of $17,500 dollars that will pay the bills of over 60 persons who had their gas and/or water turned off. When the mayor's office received the money, they paid off the utility bills for the holiday season which made them happy that someone cared for them. I like the idea of the anonymous donor who used her wealth to give the people in Gallatin who were affected by the pandemic who were either laid off from work or living on a fixed income to keep her name out of the public spotlight. The Miss Santa is hoping that other persons around the world follow her example to assist other people who are facing hard times to lend them a helping hand to get their basic needs met.

@Deepizzaguy As what the Bible says "don't let the left hand know, what the right hand is doing."

@Deepizzaguy It is true, if those that have a lot are solidary with less fortunate ones we would live in a better world.

This was a very generous gesture by Miss Santa. The residents affected will certainly be happy to get their utilities turned back on.

I know how that feels since my relatives and myself were happy to see electrical power restored 27 days later after Hurricane Laura hit in late August.

@LindaOHio I know what you mean since Hurricane Laura was a cat four storm that did do severe damage to the power grid in Lake Charles.

@Deepizzaguy That's a LONG TIME without power. It was bad enough when our power was out for 3 days during the winter.
