I have tried to more or less ignore the news here the last few weeks and months just out of a mental health effort, but today was a strange one here in the US as people stormed our capital building to protest an election. I don't care much about the two sides or who is better, but just overall its embarrassing to see happen. But then it does make you think about what if it were indeed necessary, but then necessary for who? There was a reason why i was ignoring the news. It's just been exhausting thinking about it all. I'm already tired of 2021.

It sure isn't starting off on a good foot. We're not even a week in, and riots have started... again.

@kaylachan Yeah I think nobody really expected things to change right away, but not really this either. Should be interesting going forward.

@rz3300 No. I think, people think if they riot or protest enough, change will be instant and in their favor. In some situations, this was proven to be the case. Or, so it seems. We'll never know. But, to delay a process that's meirly symbolic in nature, that's just... it's not what our country is based upon. Now they can't wait two weeks for Biden to officially come into power. Wanting to invoke the 25th amendment on Trump.... Two weeks before inugration day....? Why? I don't think congress could convien and vote in that time, honestly.

@mrki444 Just hope others, and ourselves, can learn from it and be better. That's all you can do I guess.

yes it can't be helped, in politics there are always groups that have opposing goals, this is what causes a lot of clashes to occur, especially in the United States which upholds freedom of opinion, maybe news like that will fill your TV for some time

It is not really going well, but I think it will pass and it will be fine in the end. People will come to some sort of agreement.
