Online Learning is not easy when you are at school

I have my Grandson with me for a break. He is a child carer at only 8 years old and needed one. We are trying to do online schooling and I wish they had trained the teacher first! It is not easy to adapt from a classroom. The good bit is you can go to school in your pyjamas and do the work set when it suits in the day. We are finding it impossible to find some of the things we should be doing. I have just realised we already did what the teacher is teaching by mistake thinking we had to do it yesterday! So here we are on the ranch and like everyone very limited in what we can do. Thankfully, our back garden is the entire ranch! However, someone here tested positive for Covid, So we are avoiding everyone completely. My house, or rather chalet, is a way away from where they are. Thankfully, we had no contact and they are not feeling ill so they think it might have been a false result. (Actually, you still have to isolate as people can be infectious with no symptoms.) It is strange to be in an isolated world in a community. We did have to shop so I left my grandson in the car for safety.

It's good that you have so much space. We had a very limited lockdown and had 18 acres to roam around in so it didn't affect us much but I really feel for those who are/were confined to a tiny unit or just a few rooms.

That online learning is difficult. I have had to isolate twice, but luckily didn't get sick
