Prisons of the Mind

Anyone can feel lost through various forms of addictions, anger, and hate, among countless others.
I was once such an angry person--fighting (arguing) with anyone who was rude or caused me pain, but with God's strength I have been able to overcome this strife, and I feel free now not to carry that around.
I don't hold grudges anymore, though at one time I would have anger regarding confrontations that happened twenty years ago. There was no forgiveness in my heart for anyone that hurt me.
In the last couple of years God taught me to relinquish these burdens to Him, and now there's such an incredible feeling of lightness in my soul, occasionally there may be a slip, but it's something to consistently work for, and the tranquility is worth it.
This song is soulful, yet very uplifting.
I'm no stranger to the prison
I've worn shackles and chains
But I've been freed and forgiven (yes I have)
I'm not going back
I'll never be the same
That's why I sing...
All my hope is in Jesus
Thank God that yesterday's gone
All my sins are forgiven
I've been washed by the blood

Thank you, I really like this song, but it's not something I normally listen too.

I liked the song; it is soulful indeed.
Anger lives in the pits of our mind, always there, and always ready to explode into us, and then out of us, unless we allow the waters of love to fill the pit, and then the water will get rid of the hole in us, (caused by the anger) and all we will then see is an ocean of love, as all the anger is now gone, and dissolved into it.

@macayada Yes, if we all live that way, there would be no need for any prisons, real ones, or prisons of the mind either.

I agree, anger is a terrible beast with a mind of it's own.

You are an inspiration. It is true that when you feel everybody is your friend you always feel positive, light deep inside, have happy heart. Smile and you will receive the same vibes. Give and it shall be given to you and so when you love you will also receive love, respect begets respect.
