Earnings wise, my best month here was August 2019.
I earned $9.47 that month. I do not look @ this as a job necessarily, though there are some that do.
I can understand, if they are struggling financially & came here w/"earn a living" expectations, why they'd be disappointed when those expectations aren't met. However, in fairness to the site, I don't think it was ever intended as more than a side gig at best and I don't think the people who run the site are @ fault just b/c some have unrealistic expectations.

When I first joined, a person could easily make a decent pay each month depending on how much time and effort you put into what you were working on or doing. You started with a 10 dollar min payout, and could cash out up to 100 dollars. (some might've claimed more). However, back then you could earn by posting, doing micro jobs others posted, and earned through referrals.
Then the site stopped paying for a while due to reasons. Then Mr. Admin (Alice) and a few others brought the payment system back, removed the micro jobs, and the referral system. And, lowered the min payout, to 5. I feel this is a bit more realistic. And while I haven't even earned 8, I can use the money to go to a bill or something. I feel every little bit counts.

Haven't really heard of others having unrealistic expectations at least not lately. The ones that do usually leave fairly quickly.
Some - or so they claim - make $30 per month. I can swing that if I'm on here morning noon and night but I'm not and can't be.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I think in my wife's best months, she was swinging about $20,not a living, but not terrible for spare change.

@jnrdutton Right, if nothing else it helps with the cost of keto foods.

I definitely use mylot as a side gig or extra cash the ti can pocket for savings and such. At one point I used it for getting diapers and milk.

@hereandthere that depends on the store, and place you live. I don’t currently buy any diapers since al of my kids wear underwear now. But milk can be any where form $2.30 to $5 depending on the type of milk you want:

@DianneN As a side gig, it's among the best I've found, and it has the added bonus of longevity, where many sites go dark after a few months. I also love the community.

I come here to relax and interact.
Then whatever I earn is the icing on the cake.
I had tried long back a few to earn a living.
But I did not want to play along with them as they wanted sort of cut and paste, juggling sentences and pass them of as original inputs.

This is just a place I come and interact with friends and make some extra money. I never expected it to be my living money. I'll have to see when my best month was. I usually make payout every other month and I am more than satisfied with that

I use my modest earnings to build up to enough to have a dinner out. Works for us!

A job it is not, you are absolutely correct, although I do hear some people refer to it as that. AND of course you have some people that certainly do come here thinking it will be more. For me it's just a fun place to spend some time and earn a few pennies while doing it. There are months I make $15 and others I barely make payout. It just depends.
