I’ll never, forget the rainy day in February of 1997, that our friends were murdered Neal 44, and his twelve year old son Brendan, just months prior Neal had given me my first laptop out of the generosity of his heart, telling me if I was going to make it as a writer I needed the laptop. So who would want to brutally murder this man and his brilliant twelve year old son? Neal and Brendan were Brutally Murdered on February.19.1997, just two weeks prior, Neal had celebrated his 43rd birthday, I’m now older than he was when he died, and that’s a hard pill to swallow, but even harder is that Brendan never celebrated his thirteenth birthday! Brendan’s Mother is still alive, she had come home from work to a scene no loved one should ever see, and for that reason and out of respect for her, I’m only giving a broad view of the facts, but at nineteen I learned that evil exists. Almost twenty four years later and this crime remains unsolved. All I can do is pray that someday this case is solved because to me it is more than a case, they were lifelong family friends.
