Working to strengths vs trying to follow directives as is

Well, who does not loves to work to their strengths. Sometimes when we work to our strengths and do the things the way we can handle them the best, everything seems so great. Yet that is not always the case. In Jobs plus at home, we do need to do things under certain guidelines and also follow certain norms and ways of doing things- even at a micro level. Yet frankly, at times we do not like that inside of us. But we cannot keep things aside just due to our preferences. Do you face such dilemmas or I can see "no-choice" situation(s)? Do share your views and experiences.

Artists can freely express themselves in their crafts. Medical practitioners abide by the standard.

@eileenlevya Yet a doctor with a separate clinic of his or her own could still have an individual style and mindset.

@eileenleyva No I meant in a positive way. Often doctors in expensive private hospitals follow the hospitals' guidelines - often overcharging and even misleading patients at times. Yet at their own individual clinics, some of these doctors prove better for the patients.

@eileenleyva Yes the doctors with independent clinics raise their fees annually. Their execuse is that their costs have risen.

@DianneN That is good. Yet I hope that only genuine people are helped and nobody takes any undue advantage.

I'm happily retired so I don't face work at home situations.

@just4him Yes I have heard of this thing and perhaps I too have faced it in some ways - albeit limited.

I'd like to work to my strengths but I'm not sure what they are.

@JudyEv Your strengths are explaining things that you see when Traveling plus Photography- but without having orders from someone(My inference- but well I could be a bit off the mark ! ) Perhaps if you were to start working as someone's assistance then you might not feel as happy !
