...I got the shoveling done and now am heading out to do a bit of plowing. If I don't do it my husband will try and we both have our problems. He has a prosthetic for those that don't remember. Maybe I'll take a picture to post here later if the current snow we got. Did you get snow with this last storm or did it pass you by? We may get rain next week, oh joy.

Wow at least it tried. Then not enough to give the moisture so much needed there I imagine? Even with the few snowfalls we've had so far there's not a lot of accumulation yet as it melts some in between when the sun's shining even though the temps are still brisk.

Please send some our way. We are promised the snow but either never get it or it is mixed with rain. Tonight (in the very wee hours) we may see some.

@MarshaMusselman The chance of precip has gotten higher. I know snow is disruptive but I love seeing it. We haven't seen enough of it here.

@ScribbledAdNauseum even though I'd rather not see as much as we do our state does need it to keep the lakes filled with water.

We got a dusting of snow followed by a wintry mix. I listened to the sleet hitting the windows all afternoon. I'm hoping the sun comes out today and melts this icy mess.

The sun is out there but I doubt much will have time to melt. I do hope it melts some before the rain than is due next week though.

We had a light coating yesterday. It's now melting. Hope your snow wasn't too heavy to shovel.

It was feathery light at least other than what the city plows out in the driveway that was a bit heavier but manageable.

I got enough done for today. I didn't want to overdo things since my one foot still hurts when I'm on it.

Wow, I wish we did...They keep teasing us with snow in the forecast, and then we never get any. I am mad!

We don't always get what the forecast promised or as much of it. Otherwise we'd have had more snow by December.

@RebeccasFarm in not sure what you meant there. I'm most places in Michigan if it snows more than three inches the plows will do the roads and they'll put salt down either way. Years ago we got stuck in Detroit for several days after a snow storm because they didn't have enough plows or not enough of them or for whatever reason it takes a while plowing out a larger city.

Here every year is different. The farmers almanac or maybe it was the metrologists said once it began the precipitation would be ongoing but they said both rain and snow. We had our first snow in November and second in December and nothing much until January. I thought this would be one of those times they got it wrong. We are in a little valley so storms tend to go around us sometimes. At least it's not snowing daily or even weekly. Will have to see what next month brings.
