Our city runs a Summer and Winter Film Festival which shows a variety of film genres from around the world. The twelve films are shown mostly three times each at varying times from Thursday to Sunday and over a period of a month.
February is the month chosen for the Summer Film Festival. We’ve managed to see five films so far and it’s now the last week. We’ve seen two films today at 2.30pm and 6.00pm,we’ll see two tomorrow at 2.00pm and 5.30pm then another on Sunday at 11.00am. You wouldn’t think it would be so hard to see twelve films in a month but every Festival we find ourselves cramming the last few films into the last few days.
The photo is of the figures on the front of the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre (BREC).

I have not been to a theater in years and nor do I have the patience to sit through watching movies.

That building look ultra modern. People aren't going to the movies much these days. Alot of the theaters are closed due to Covid anyway. I have only seen two films since the pandemic started...and the theaters I saw them in are now cloased..hopefully not permanently!

@DocAndersen I find some of the foreign films very intriguing. The next - and last - was shot in Iceland. We saw a wonderful Icelandic film last festival too.

@judyev Is it a bit overwhelming seeing so much in a few days? I used to binge watch at an art house cinema in Paris, partly because I love old Indian films, partly because it was a cheap day out with my pregnant wife who always needed to be near a toilet.

Yes, it's not ideal but it's either that or miss out. We seemed to have stuff that clashed earlier in the month. Going to the wedding took out three possible film days for starters.

There is a variety of genres offered at the Festival - comedy, drama, adventure, family. I've enjoyed them all.
