Crochet Projects Lately

The two pillows on the bottom are the last two I will be crocheting covers for. The previous two had similar designs and were misshapen like these. The pink and white pillow is a lilac purple on the other side.
Single Crochet used for both pillows, but an H hook for the pink pillow and I think an I hook for the purple one. This is a scrapbusting project for me. Tidied up my yarn shelf so I know which yarns I want to use next.
*Ignore the mattress. I can't use a regular bed sheet because they won't stay on the bed with as much as I toss and turn.

After these pillows.. I saw a cute little heart valentine that I want to try to stitch up. I just need to get the yarn for it.

You can see parts of the pillow through the purple one so I went down a hook size with this pillow and with the pillow I am currently making (another purple one).

@CarolDM Thank You. There is a video using softer and bulkier yarn that I would like to try. I priced the pillows at walmart yesterday and think I may get a few and decide which yarns I want to use.

These colors made me think of valentine's day. I like purple more, but I also think the pink and white go together well. I will make a Valentine's heart from a tutorial I saw yesterday.

I have a bamboo comforter that I use in place of a fitted sheet, since I always toss and turn a lot too. Plus, the comforter adds a little more cushy feel to my bed when I'm sleeping.

That's what this does. Two blankets used as a bedsheet and then I pile two or three blankets on top of me when I'm sleeping.

Me too! It was a walmart brand yarn but it reminded me a lot of a Hobby Lobby yarn I bought once.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I can do some knitting, but I've never mastered crocheting. I'll get my first row of chain stitches done, and then it starts twisting around when I do the next row. I need to work on my tension.

@spiderdust Tension was the biggest problem for me when I tried it out years ago. I mastered that this go around by using larger yarn and my fingers to start off with. I still have a blanket I made with my fingers and it's ugly and skewed but it works and it reminds me that I've gotten better.

Cool , you are ready for next Christmas. I think you should follow up on that Etsy stuff..you have really cute things, and they look pretty professional. I bet you could make a nice little side income.

I have really been giving it a lot of consideration. I would like to make stitch markers out of polymer clay and possibly sell them on etsy and ebay. That's why I've been asking for recommendations on a printer.
