Let’s face it, when it comes to mileage, I didn’t put many on the car today. My shoes, however, are another story. The drive along US Highway 90 is stunning, with the Gulf of Mexico bordering the southern side of the road for a number of miles (basically from Pass Christian to the other side of Biloxi). I took plenty of opportunities to stop and walk, admiring the relatively nice weather and the fabulous views. Earlier today I posted a discussion with a photo from Jones Park. The highlight for me was the Biloxi Bay Bridge. The bridge, according to the markers along the walking/bicycling path (which is separated from the drivers by a sturdy wall), is about 1.7 miles one-way. It also goes UP....then down (which allows the fishing boats with their tall masts to go under the bridge). I figured there was no way I could walk all the way across, then back. And darn my luck, I don’t have an Uber or Lyft account. But I did make it to the pinnacle, which was only about half a mile from the eastern side of the bridge (where I parked). From there I took some great pictures of the bay, and just admired the view. The Davis Bayou area of Gulf Islands National Seashore is also in the area. There wasn’t a lot to do, because much of the area is restricted either due to covid or the damage caused by either Sally or Zeta, two of the hurricanes that slammed the region in 2020. But it offered some more seashore viewing as well as a great place to take a nap. Not much accomplished today, but very much appreciated for the scenery!!

Great picture. You do more traveling than anyone I know! You are fortunate to be able to do that. We are still hoping to take our delayed trip back to the Keys in September. Drive safely.

Great photo. Good that you can take in scenery and zip along with your car. I just have my two feet and this is the year I should get them walking. I have been in Florida for three years and have yet to see the Halifax River. I can cross over it at two points and I am sure the view of the rive must be spectacular. I will find out soon. Just when I was considering doing this last year bam came the virus.

The last place we lived in Daytona Beach was on North Peninsula Drive, about a block and a half away from the Halifax River.

So I had to go look on a map and see where US Highway 90 was. It looks like it stretches across all of Texas, too! I have been meaning to check out Biloxi, MS sometime, but I haven't made it down there yet. I am happy for you and jealous! It's a weird goal, but maybe you understand...Like I want to travel to all the national parks in the US, I also want to travel on all the US highways, at least once. Very cool stuff. Enjoy the journey and let us know how it goes!

You know why we are rivals, Haha, I actually more interested in 90 never seen it. 101 have in parts small parts too but people say its one of the most amazing drives in America. My brother, goes damn that highway 101 is true to its form and he a Trumper from Kansas. I am not sure about after the capital thing, but one thing about are true family is we usually know where to place our true anger or pleasure and why I always respected him because most people just go highway 101 screw California. Its more than that for one and two if its pretty why lie.

Wow you got hit twice last year, that really sucks. I am sure the views are really as pretty as you've made them sound.

I love going that way from Mobile to New Orleans. A beautiful drive. Enjoy! Glad it has all returned after many storms and hurricanes have wiped it all out in the past.
