A Massage, Margarita, and Egg Rolls...

...what more can I ask for this Friday night? I had a very stressful week, looks like we're cutting more jobs and as per usual I am involved in the decision-making and execution. There is nothing that I hate more than telling someone that starting this date, he/she will no longer have the job that he/she currently has. The only silver lining is that they have seniority and can displace someone else, which of course when it trickles down will kick out the most junior employees out of any job. After getting most of this awful task done this week, I am so ready to relax and forget about work for a while. I went to my 5:30 pm massage appointment, and it was so embarrassing - she has to wake me up a couple of times. I fell asleep during the session! I went home and as my husband knew what a horrible week I had, he has some margarita chilling for me in the fridge. It's just a six-pack of Cayman Jack margarita. Then I went on ahead and air fried some lumpia (egg rolls) to munch on with my margarita. And for a while, everything is right in the world for me. My husband is also busy, and was also having a bad time at work. He has to move his meeting he initially scheduled for 9pm tonight to Sunday 7pm. I know, I know, we're a bunch of workaholics, but for him those are the only time that will work for him. And to think that on paper, our hours our supposed to be from 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday only. But such is life, and this too shall pass. For now, I am enjoying this nice Friday evening with my beloved.
