Just A Few Miles From Where I’m At

We were blessed to have only had our power off for maybe a half an hour, it went off and came right back on. But literally a ten minute ride up the hill, in the beautiful town of Twain Harte things were different.
The rain was definitely needed but sadly this storm brought much destructions, uprooting trees, crushing homes and more.

It was scary close, but as far as I know their were no injuries so that's definitely a blessing

@Michellekidwell I hope you don't experience mudslides or anything like that.

@TheHorse I'm okay where I'm at, but some places just miles away were hit a lot harder

We are, thanks, we got the storm, but nowhere near the destruction areas only moments away from us did!

It really is, this whole area is historical, I'd hate seeing destruction regardless but when the older homes are damaged beyond repair it's like loosing a piece of history!

Flood is also dangerous because you can not run once flash flood happens, you will be carried away or electrocuted if live wire touches the water. In my place the level of water is possibly now reaching up to the roof of the houses whenever there is a strong typhoon. In snow the danger is its weight on rooftop, once it melts and freezing temp.
