New Weight Loss Plan (WW Sort Of)

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? It's been a busy weekend here so haven't been around too much. Spent yesterday visiting family, and then today spent time with family in town and then spent a few hours tie-dying with my son. Anyways, I promised Sunday night I would share more about my new weight loss plan. I am going to try it for February and then see if I continue or do something else after that. First, I weighed in the morning and I did lose a little in January. Start weight: 193 January 31st - 189.4 - So that is a loss of 3.6 pounds. As for the new plan: It is sort of Weight Watchers (still low carb) - but I am not paying to do it. I found tools online to be able to do it for free. I know a big thing about weight watchers is the whole support thing with meetings, but I share my journey here daily (almost) for support. Anyways - each day I am allotted 23 points and I get 35 weekly points. Weekly points are flexible points I could use daily if I want to eat a little more than the 23 points, or I could use them all up at once for a "cheat" meal. I have looked up a lot of the foods I was eating before to see if I would be able to do this with only 23 points. It will be difficult, but definitely doable. I'll share some examples: Tuna with mayo, no sugar added ketchup and cheese - 8 points/9 if I have it with a tortilla. Pizza wrap (tortilla, pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese) - 11 points. Bratwurst - with no sugar added ketchup - 11 points Eggs & bacon - 4 points (1 egg and 1 serving of bacon) Built bar - 3 points Keto Chow Powder - 2 points Those are just some ideas, But I could have tuna, and a pizza wrap and end the day with a shake or a built bar. I haven't decided whether or not to still weigh in daily or just once a week. I know people will say once a week - but it's habit for me to step on the scale in the morning, LOL. Anyways, what do you think of this plan? We'll see how it goes!

I hope it works for you. If you can weigh in once a week, that might be better. If you're doing it everyday you might not see the progress you want because weight does fluculate from day to day no matter what you do. So try not to be to hard on yourself if it goes up or down a little bit.

The trouble with that is I may not see a low on the scale. Maybe I will still do it but not share it here unless I see a low. IDK...Just don't want to be judged if I get on it daily.

@MommyOfEli2013 The only person you need to worry about is, yourself. It is not recommended to weigh in every day. However, if you feel comfortable with that, great. What I notice in your posts, is you seem to be too hard on yourself when you don't see the drops. It's hard to see those when you're weighing yourself daily. It's okay if you go up a pound or two, that's normal. You won't see major changes daily. You just have to consider where you're starting from and take it from there. One step at time. We all have a bad day. No harm in that.

I think it's a solid plan and I hope it works for you.I would probably spread the cheat points out over a few days myself. i feel like that is going to give you the best results overall.

Some weeks (like for Valentine's day) I will save up most of the weekly points for a special meal. However some days I will probably use around 5 (like today already). We'll see what the points end up equaling calorie wise at the end of the day lol

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am not sure how fun it is going to be, lol. I have to give up so much butter, heavy cream, cheese, etc. But yes going all out on Valentines' haha

Weighing every day does not cause me any problems. I do it. Some people say it ruins their mood for the day if they are not happy with the scale. Maybe they shouldn't weigh every day. You do what works for you.

@LindaOHio I already want to give up with it. Guess I just need to try to do Keto through the week and not so strict on weekends.
