Balloons are...

Have you ever wondered how Balloons are made? Did you know they were once made out of dried animal bladder? Yep, but luckily someone invented the rubber balloons we all know and love today. It was during the 1930's that they were first mass produced. I'm no good with descriptions and it'd be too long of a discussion for me to describe everything, but I thought this was interesting enough to share here. I HATED the sound of balloons popping as a child. They still startle me today. Do you decorate with balloons?

Another one from our favorite show! We used to release balloons for Dustin but now we use bubbles. Much cleaner for the air.

Ah yes, much cleaner. I always wonder how long the balloons stay inflated before the air pressure just makes them deflate. Now that I have Discovery+ I can binge watch this show.

As a child, my older siblings and cousins loved to pop balloons around me because they knew I'd run away and leave them alone.

Nothing like having a bouquet of floating dried animal bladders . There are some really cool balloon decorators/decorations out there! We had more balloons when the kids were smaller . . . I am certain I still have a bag of them somewhere.

We used to get them all the time when i was a little girl. Yeah, I have to wonder if there was stench from the animal bladders.

Yes, I knew that back in time they were made out of dried animal bladder. I did not watch how they are made now because I never really liked balloons.

I like the balloons made out of some sort of plastic / foil. The ones that have sayings on them like "Happy Birthday"

@LadyDuck I don't use them very often anymore. We used to get them for the kids birthdays.
