Weight Loss Journey 2021 - Day 28 (Starting the WW)

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I hope well. Let's see how I did on the first day of counting points. I tracked macros too so I could see what my points were. Weigh in for the start of this part of the journey: 189.4 (same as yesterday too) Blood sugars: Fasting - 230 (yikes) Meal 1 - 162 Meal 2 -- Meal 3 - 140 So....what did I eat? Meal 1 - Red Baron Deep Dish Pizza - Singles (didn't eat all of it either) - 12 points Meal 2 - Tuna wrap (low carb tortilla wrap, tuna, mayo, no sugar added ketchup, 1 slice of cheese) - 9 points Snack: Caramel Cup Fat Bomb - 4 points Meal 3 - Chicken cordon bleu (breaded) - 5 points & some ritz cracker sandwiches - 3 points Total points for the day: 33 (10 over, so using 10 of my weekly 35) Now as for the macros? Let's see how they were. Calories - 1,033 Protein - 67 Fat - 55 Carbs - 80 Net Carbs - 65 I don't think it was the worst day, although I probably would have done better to have a pizza wrap rather than actual pizza. I went over on the points, but my calories were still super low. I guess that is because I didn't eat any "zero" point foods (well minus the ketchup). Anyways...so what do you think of my first day doing the points system? Also, if you care to share - how did you do with food/exercise/health?

My sugar, fasting at least, was 100. So that's not too bad. I must be doing something right.I don't think I did too bad food-wise. Then again, I did forget to log it for the day. I'm not very good at that. Yesterday was a shopping day, so I didn't go out on my own to play Pokemon Go. Instead, I did it in the van on the way to Publix. However, I did manage to reach my daily step goal of 4,00 steps and still managed to burn almost 200 active calories. I also reached my goal of 50 active minutes (I dropped it down from 60) and that included a 7 minute workout using my yoga mat. Forgot to get on the scale when I went to public, too. I'll deffently do it next month before my doctor's appointment, so I can give them a number.

@MommyOfEli2013 For me, I think so. I burned some more calories today because I went to the store to get my husband's cookies. I offered to do it yesterday because Publix didn't have the kind he wanted.

Your blood sugar is high. Your macros look okay except for the carbs. Since I'm not weighing myself now until the first of next month, I think I did well. I didn't eat much yesterday. I couldn't exercise. I'll do that today.

Your suger seems high to me. I have the same problem. It sounds like you are doing pretty good with the diet.

It was high...but that's what I get for having carbs. I'm not doing good at all...but said I'd try it for a month

@HazySue If I stick to low carb it will....but I have trouble sticking to it :(

It will take you a while to get adjusted to eating this way. I think you're doing well. I had a bowl of soup.

@LindaOHio Yes, it limits the fats way too much.... I need to just stay 50 total carbs or less, and maybe allow 1 day a week where I can go over maybe.

I hate it after 1 day. Limiting the foods I enjoy to stay in the points is difficult. Soup sounds nice though

I felt like a failure going over on day 1. Day 2 and I'm already at 19 points because my snack was like 9 points.

@DocAndersen yup...don't know why I thought I'd could do it. If I liked veggies it'd be fine but since I don't...I think ww is out

Personally, I think you are too many carbs, but that’s me. You will do better I’m sure. Are you allowed fruit on WW?

Your fasting sugars are too high. I had my fasting a bit high today. It was 160. I had a late dinner than usual and it was a high carb one. I should be back to good below 110 from tomorrow.

I know it was. That was after a carb filled weekend. 160 is not too bad, compared to what mine was. That's good yours will be better tomorrow. Mine will take time to come down.
