Day 175 Promise 636 Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. How often do you pray? Is it a sometime thing, or an everyday habit? What brings you to your knees? Paul told the Philippians they needed to pray about everything. When they did, they would feel God’s peace in their lives. As Christians, you need to heed Paul’s advice to pray about everything. When you do, you will find God’s peace permeating your life. People pray when things go bad. They rarely pray when everything is going well. Yet, when you pray in the good times, it will be easy to pray for everything. You won’t worry when trouble comes your way. You will turn to Jesus who promised to take care of you in every situation. Another reason to pray in every situation is because Satan hates it when Christians pray. He has no foothold in your life when prayer is your first action of the day. You keep him out of your life when you continue praying throughout the day. Let prayer be on your tongue every moment of every day and you will have peace that passes all understanding. People will look at you and wonder why you don’t worry about anything. Let’s pray: Father, let prayer be on my tongue every moment of the day and let Your peace reign in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 2 February 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

Prayer is our means of talking to our creator. Even a small candy to put in your mouth say "thank you for the energy this candy will give to my body" , it may sound over reacting but little things make big difference. Let us not forget too big or small, ups and downs, heavy or not in struggle just whisper the name of God and He already knew what is inside your heart and mind before your lips finish what you have to say that is coming from your heart and in your mind. Pray wherever, whenever, always, and constantly as you feel you are losing hope, strength, struggling... and thankful.

My Sunday school teacher said this last week about praying for everything even when you lose the tv remote.

I have been a bit hesitant to pray about everything, but that is good advice. I asked a lady, at our church, how prayer had worked in her life once. She told me that God had found a parking space for her, on a particularly busy day. I was expecting something more spectacular, but I see now, answered prayers, even of ordinary requests, is also spectacular in its way too. "If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough." Meister Eckhart, a German - Philosopher (1260 - 1328). Obviously, this guy did not read Saint Paul's advice then. Philosophical statements often sound good, but are sometimes just surface waffle. They are often just mind statements. We need to feel them with our heart, to make them actively real for us too. We need to go deeper than that, and yet heartfelt prayers of thanks, even unworded, do work too. The sentiment sounds good, but we do need to pray more than just that, I expect too.

I love it when God opens up a parking space after I've prayed. It's not only parking spaces, it's everything. I've found things, gotten phone calls, so many things big and small when I pray. God's promise to answer prayer is binding. He answers all of them. Sometimes you need to wait for the answer.
