Day 177
Promise 638
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (KJV)
Do you feel weak, powerless?
Paul told the Philippians his strength came from God.
As Christians, we are not to rest in our strength but God’s strength. Too often we want to prove to ourselves we can do whatever we desire. Yet, frustration abounds and we give up, throwing in the towel believing nothing will be accomplished.
When we place our desires and needs in God’s hands. He will always come through. We don’t need to live our lives in frustration when God has the answers we need to accomplish every task.
Strength isn’t only physical, but it’s also character. Your strength is your integrity, your trustworthiness. You know many people you can rely on to come through when you need them. You also know those people who say one thing and do another.
Paul knew people he could rely on in the ministry. Their names are found at the end of each letter. He knew they relied on Jesus Christ as he did. Paul’s boldness to preach the gospel came from God. He used God’s strength to go into each country with the gospel. Even when he knew it meant prison and eventual death.
Jesus called you to preach the gospel. He commissioned you to go into the world and tell every person about Jesus’ love for them and what He did for them on Calvary’s cross.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Jesus didn’t tell them to go without the means to do what He asked of them. He told them He would be with them everywhere they went.
What has God called you to do for His kingdom? You don’t sit without the strength and means to do His work. God gives you the strength and abilities to do the work. You only need to trust Him.
Let’s pray: Father, help me trust You with the task set before me. You have the answers and strength I need to accomplish every goal. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I love the prayer you added at the end. It will be my reminder today that I can accomplish my goals.

People don't realize that in order to overcome fear, pain, struggles, there is that strength deep within us being activated and radiates. That strength once felt and realized turns out light because it is being lifted up by our faith that God is helping us carry, that he is accompanying us along the way.
