Three Things That Made Lighter Of Heart.....

First thing that made me laugh was that where I was born more or less a local Town Hall decided to set up their automatic messages by phone in what they thought would be the local slang of the local people. It turned out that when the local people rang their services and heard those words they could not understand a word that the Town Hall people were talking about. I know that slang very well inded the four kinds and I use one of them as its part of me. It reminds me of the former Health Minister that you can sometimes hardly understand a word he is talking about in Spanish I can understand his Catalan much better he mumbles into his shirt when he speaks Spanish. Another is that the new Health Minister looks almost like him. We have nicknamed him Clark Kent okay its our way of seeing it and the woman looks like his sister not that she is but she acts the same as him sort of a stereotype thing. The sidekick of the former Health Minister also is hardly understood most of the time he was just and still is mumbling away and a few of the times you can get "masks" as the main theme. If you cannot laugh or smile a bit at such things its gonna be a tough year for us if we cannot smile just a bit. PS: It might be okay or have been okay if we could have understood what they were rambling on about in the first place such are the ways of these people blah, blah, blah I come from what was known as West Mercia which is now known as the Black Country because of the intense industrial stuff from before. Another PS: Forgot to mention that the new Health Miinister is a woman but she looks like Clark Kent´s sister.

Had a good chuckle from your descriptions. Have mentioned many times to hubs that many actors and actresses today mumble and don’t project. Miss half of what they mumble.

I was so glad to compare that I was not the only one here that thought the same as me too. Yes a good many actors mumble and don´t project their speech to the crowd that happens when they translate English or any other language into Spanish. Hope the storms turn into nothing also.

@DianneN I am hoping for actors like Richard Harris who narrated so very well. Enjoy your walk out then both of you.

It is funy when people believe they are being smart, intelligent, but they are not. Hopefully they are wearing their masks, which of course make them sound mumbly as well.

No, not really as they are supposed to be Ministers which makes them "mumblers" with or without what is going on. We have alll been wearing those things now since last March and lockdowns, curfews the lot. Our Ministers mumble a lot.
