My favorite Etsy: Little Bits Apothecary

Today's contribution is Little Bits Apothecary on etsy. I have not purchased anything from this shop but I placed it on my favorites list several years ago because I liked the nod to historic beauty recipes. I've taken a look at the store again today and it has grown substantially since the last time I looked at it. I'm not sure if I will ever buy anything from this store. It might become among those shops that I decide to unfollow. Do you buy hygiene or beauty needs online? Etsy Store : It should go without saying that I am just having fun with this little series of my favorite etsy things. I don't earn a commission or anything if you check the shop out.

I love to look at those old products. There were several very old things inside the apartment of my mother.

These are recreations of old things. I like looking at the old things too though. I used to watch a few channels where people obtained permission to venture into abandoned homes. Most of these were across Europe, but some were in America. They showcased lots of things like old shaving cream or an old box of aspirin. My favorites were any item made before 1960 and especially if they found something as far back as the 1800s.

@LadyDuck One of my great grandmother's came to live here in the 1990's. She lived in the mountains before but my grandmother was to be her caretaker so a room was built and her things brought down here. I was young at that time but I believe some of her items were dispersed to her children and grandchildren before she moved. I do have a blanket of hers that I love, but I believe it is only 60 or so years old. It is made by a manufacturer that no longer makes these blankets which is a shame because I love it so much.

@ScribbledAdNauseum There were a lot before 1960 in my mom's apartment. I have some bed sheets that my great grandmother made (with a loom) before she got married, so they were surely made in the 1800.

Thank you for sharing, I usually purchase economy size shampoo, soaps and other things like that through Amazon but I will take a look at this.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to the price points on these items. I have bought things like shampoo and soap from other etsy sellers in the past. Now I buy arm and hammer 3 in 1 and a bottle of conditioner to make my hair nice and silky.

I love the historical items. I would never purchase from this site; but it sure was interesting to take a look around. Thanks!

I have spent a lot of money on etsy over the years. It is nice to window shop and imagine some of the things on our vanity, isn't it?

@LindaOHio I try to think hard about what I am going to buy. I've regretted too many purchases over the years not to take a step back and really think about it.
