Rant: I am feeling gloomy because...

...I will be having a session with my company's staff later in the afternoon. A student filed a complaint against me. To cut it short, it is related to a power outage and the class online was interrupted. Regardless, I continued and extended the class with this student when my generator was used. In the end, he still complained because the class is not finished. It is an old issue that we are experiencing the matter of being inconsiderate. Now, I was given a final warning and if another student online will do the same thing, they will review it if I can continue working with them.

I am taking in lightly because it is not the end of the world.

Besides the point, I still bear in mind this phrase: 'If you hate me, the hater I feel with you.'

*sigh* Some people just feel the need to complain, whether it is something we control or not. I'm glad to know you realize it isn't the end of the world if something happens.

I just keep myself with the company for being with them for more than seven years. If they cannot keep me, then why will I force myself to be working with them.

@DaddyEvil It is fine. I have been whining about these issues so many times. I am tired of their poor management. It is a matter of accepting the fact that they do not practice social responsibility.

I agree with you. I have been enduring their poor management and judgments with certain issues. Being with them for more than seven years is not appreciated. If it happens to be ending working with them, then it is time to move on.

@Shavkat That sucks.because you teach them and they are not easy to teach and they have nerve to complain about you. It is sad that you cannot complain about them. I hope you can find something better.

That's the downside of teaching online. If the company only thinks of business, then they do not care about their virtual teachers. I hope that pandemic will end soon so that I can move to another option the soonest.

It is our secret. The staff and I talked about it. They did not accept my reason because it is not caused by a natural disaster.

There's a lot of fish in the sea. In short, if this one terminates you, go and look for another company. There are a lot of esl companies out there. Who knows you may find something even better. You have already explained your part, the decision is there's to make. If the decision doesn't favor you then adios, move on head high.

I agree. The staff explained why they need to do this. It boiled down to having their rules. In fact, I did not react that much. Once they are going to terminate me, there is another company waiting for me.
