My Favorite Etsy: Slytherin Yarn Bowl

United States
February 12, 2021 3:45pm CST
I want a yarn bowl. I think it would make things a little easier. I know I can go to a craft store and find one as well as other alternatives to a yarn bowl (like a skein holder). I could even buy a paper towel holder and make it work for yarn. However, This.. I really like this. It's out of stock (sold) but I am wondering if they can make another? Or if I can find another elsewhere? There are other yarn bowls that I've found that I like...

Cute idea but save yourself some money and get a toilet paper holder.

Oh yes that would be the cheap way to go. I should just go to goodwill and see what I can find there.

Search YouTube videos to create yarn bowls, you can find plenty that you can make with what you have at home.

Oh I've seen people use binder clips on a bowl, so I know I could do that.

@LadyDuck I will need to find that method as I have not seen it before. Do they wind the yarn around hte bottle?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Using empty plastic bottles looked the best system to me.

It seems as if there are quite a few nice yarn bowl designs on Etsy, it would be so hard to pick just one favorite to buy!

Etsy gets me in trouble, or it can if I let it.

Those are very cool. What people don't think of. I wonder if you could find a bowl at a thrift shop and find a way to grind a yarn "feeder" in to it. Then sand smooth. Maybe I am dreaming, and the dish would just break

I think it would have to be a pretty solid bowl or precision tools would need to be used to make it that way.

Another cool find. Surely you could find one somewhere else.

Oh I'm sure that I could or just buy a binder clip and designate a bowl for yarn.
