My first cable ride

The travel bug bit me years ago and our first package tour was Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashmir is blessed with natural sight seeing options. I can never forget the Dal Lake which was facing the hotel where we stayed. We would go for our morning walks along the lake and the weather was just right.
Gulmarg was where the action was - my first cable ride experience. The cable car did its job getting from one side to the other and we had to grab it for the time it stayed on our side. And that is what I was afraid about - what if I miss it. But that never happened. Everything was smooth sailing. The only thing I avoided was to look down at the valley in between.
Now I am a veteran of sorts having experienced many cable rides the best being getting to Jung frau, Switzerland

The countries where I got the cable experience was Australia, Switzerland, India and Singapore and all this a few years ago.

@JudyEv It is only in India that getting in and out was a worrying issue but elsewhere they gave us enough time!!
