When I brought this book from a charity shop I thought it was just another art book. However I was in for a surprise when I looked at it properly because it features the work of some very special people. These people are all artists but they each have some sort of disability which prevents them from leading what we would call a normal life. But they have all overcome their disabilities and turned to art . This is a lovely book with pictures of the paintings by these artists and there are also chapters on the artists themselves talking openly about the problems they have had to overcome in their lives.

It is an interesting book and it was sad in places to read what these artists have to cope with in their day to day life.

@lazydaizee I never used to think about celebrities/artists having problems but some had very difficult lives.

@JudyEv It is surprising what we do not know about celebrities. They always look so confident but they are only human and some of them do have problems that we do not often hear about. It is mostly when they are trying to draw attention to a certain condition that they will share their experience of it. I read something recently about some celebrities having to cope with conditions like Dyslexia.

They are amazing people , some were using their mouths and feet to hold their paintbrushes when they could not use their hands.
