When growing up, it reaches a time when you're supposed to start school. I remember my mom took me for admission to this primary school which was near my kindergarten. I was a little nervous, but guess what? I adjusted within minutes since my class teacher was very friendly and took care of us like my mom. It was much fun than I expected, afternoon came and I was to go home. I felt bad. But The next day we wii be together, said my class teacher when mom came to pick me up. What do you remember your first day in school as a kid?? Picture:Google

As I remember going straight to elementary school, my mother always escorted and waited for me in front of the class.

@May2k8 you were very afraid I guess. Imagine my mom took me to school and came back for me the first day only and the rest of the days I went all alone

I ran back to our house during recess. I thought it was the end of class. Our school was near our house.

@Janet357 Haha it must have been funny those old young golden days, I used to have a classmate who lived near school and would do that during break time

My first day was pretty traumatic. There was no kindergarten back then and I had to go to school on the school-bus. Luckily, my big sister was there to help me through it.

@JudyEv I think 1974 when they started accepting six years old in grade one. I still remember my mom asked the teacher to let my brother in since he was big and no one would notice that he was younger for the allowed age.He was placed at the back seat but good was not noticed because he cried a lot while my mom waited until the school day ended.

@JudyEv Yes, there was no kindergarten, pre-school during my time. It was when you reach 7 years old you are automatically in grade 1

I remember when we were to go outside to play for play break, I thought it was time to go home. So I left walking home for the day
