Things to Do in Isolation

I am not restricted to self-isolation, I'm an essential worker in a hospital. But our province is basically on lock-down. Not allow off your property unless it's for essentials, you can't go to the grocery store with your spouse, a designated person per household. Everyone encouraged to keep a "contact" list should you contract Covid. All the new cases in our province are the variant, over 400 cases now and climbing. I spend my time with only my husband at this point, and "see" my co-workers. Always in PPE gear, mask and face shield. Because I work 12 hour shifts, I have little breaks in between. It's the dead of winter here, and very cold. We built a mancave/shed behind our house this past summer. Dart board, board games, tv, internet, a little wood burning fireplace in the corner. My days off consist of spending time there. What are some things are you doing to keep your mind and body occupied during isolation?

Nothing much has changed here. I enjoy bird watching from my window and screen room and photography.

I decided to learn crochet again. I bought some yarn and taught myself (with the help of youtube) to crochet. I had tried it once before and it was not successful. I also started to write. My friends and I would (and still do sometimes) facetime each other.

We have been in that situation here as well. I spend a lot of time working online to keep my mind occupied from it. It is not like a regular job but it helps pay the bills and it helps to buy some extras. My husband still works outside of the home though. The she shed sounds so inviting, We built a new room addition and have things around our home as well to keep us occupied. We did that also before the pandemic started to keep from having to travel and spend money to do things elsewhere.

Nothing much on my side. I don't really like to go out. So it's the same routine during lockdown as well. Just cooking, cleaning, reading and computer.

Staying home a lot. Bundled up and outside a lot. X-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, hiking. And twice to our local ski hill we never checked out before. Procrastinating all the things I thought I would do. Organize, declutter etc. Hubby has turned the dining room into an art studio. I substitute teach, so not home all the time.
