Reasons for being on WhatsApp

I am not on WhatsApp and I do not envy those who are on it A friend told me she regrets that she opted for it and now she says she is busy deleting more than reading what is sent to her every single day She is in several groups and since those who send her those messages expect her to acknowledge she finds it time consuming. I am a WhatsApp user, I use the app to make it easier for me to communicate with my relatives or friends, not only WhatsApp, there are many applications that people can use, having social media is not mandatory, it depends on the person, whether they are interested or not. there is no compulsion to have it, do what you like not what other people like.

Not all can be on or choose to be on the several Apps you are talking about and when important messages are sent to groups those who are not in those groups miss out. It has happened to our family when a certain member passed away. Those who were not in those groups did not get the message.

I've used Whatsapp for years. But I use it to keep in touch with my friends in India and the Philippines. I don't join any groups and honestly, didn't realize you could join groups on it. *shrug*

I have no problem with Whatsapp, I can choose which one to delete there because all my contacts are connected there.

I suppose it depends on the extent of messages that one receives.

The only advantage is that we can make free calls and that is why people call.

I am on WhatsApp for work. I would mute it if it's get too annoying. Most of the messages are not related to me so I would delete them daily. Also, that's the only group for work that I am in. The other two are family.

I have no use for Whatsapp and neither do I have a smart phone that has this App. I have no interest in joining any group.

I have only used it with my younger son when he traveled to Mexico and to Asia. Free talk, photos, and his videos. Otherwise, I don’t even know if I still have the app.
