Bates Motel removed from Netflix

Did anyone else get into this show? I’m a little late in the game but I just started watching this a week or two ago and got into it, I was on episode 5 I believe. Yesterday, I went to go look for it after suggesting it to one of my friends, and it disappeared! I did some Googling and apparently it is going to be streamed on NBCUniveral’s streaming service. Which of course I do not have. Or you can buy each episode on Amazon Prime for $2.99. Crazy. I understand the creator company wanting to get royalties for it, but I find the NUMBER of different streaming services on the market to be overwhelming. Who wants to have 10 different subscriptions? Then you are paying MORE than cable, which wasn’t that the point in the beginning? Rant over- but with NO spoilers- did you enjoy this show? What are your thoughts? I don’t have a great synopsis of it, but a mom and her teenage son move to a small town-presumably to escape from secrets of murder and mayhem-to “start over”. They buy a old motel they are working on fixing up to reopen. The mom and boy have a strange relationship. The boy starts to uncover some secrets of the town and the mom gets involved in a relationship with one of the people involved in the secrets. That’s about all I can say, as I didn’t make it very far! Someone else might be able to provide a better description.

WHAT!??! It was removed? That is one of my favorite shows. Thankfully I just finished re-watching it...but it was on Netflix forever, so didn't think they'd get rid of it.

Me neither! If you hear any word of where it went, so let me know! Is it worth watching the whole series do you think?

@maezee Well I love the show, it's one of my favorites (even though it is kind of twisted)...so I would definitely say it is! LOL. It may be on one of those free to watch places (like primewire) but I know not everyone approves of using that...we use a browser that blocks the pop ups though. I think I will buy the series from Amazon myself, lol

That is too bad. I saw it years ago. Whatever happened I am sure it involves money.

I watched an episode or two. I guess it must not have been doing very well in the ratings.

It wasn’t cancelled though, just removed from Netflix, or at least that’s my understanding.

I watched part of it years ago. NBCuniversal. Peacock has a free version of their service, maybe check there and see if it's available for free.

I made it about as far as you but then lost interest. I hate it when shows disappear when you are in the middle of them. They should at least give you a warning or something, like this show will no longer be available after such and such date.
