Does my son have a chance with this woman?

My son, started dating a woman in the past couple of months. They have been on two or three dates. He really likes the woman and he is hoping the relationship takes off. She is a couple of years older than he is. They communicate daily through Instagram.
But here is the thing, when they first started their relationship and told each other things about themselves, he told her when his birthday is and of course she told him about when hers is.
Well, today is my son's 25th birthday. And, she has messaged him like she does everyday , but she has not wished him a Happy Birthday.
Don't you think that is weird? She knew that when his birthday came around again that he would be the big 25. This is a special birthday for anyone who hits 25.
So here is the question, is a girl really into a guy if they forget the guy's birthday? I personally think she is not really into him. I just know that when my husband and I started dating, I liked him enough to not forget something as big as the day he was born.
*one more little note,,, I can't believe my baby who was nearly premature at birth 25 years ago today, is a 25 year old man! Time goes so fast!

I don't know that I'd trust the relationship. They met through instagram? Hope he doesn't get his heart broken.

They met in real life first. Have you heard of "Top Golf" It is a place where golfers can hit golf balls in nets. It also has a restaurant , they met there. Then they started communicating afterwards through Instagram.

@LeaPea2417 Oh, I've heard of a place similar to that. Okay, well I feel a little better about the relationship. I hope she'll wish him a happy birthday before the day is over, maybe she just forgot. However, if all they do is communicate through instagram.... It just makes me wonder.

I'm thinking that too. They still communicate online but two times recently that my son suggested they get together for a date/outing, she said how busy she was with her job and family activities.

You're being a good mom, looking for every possible excuse to protect your little man from the ravages of matrimony.
And birthday-25 ... I don't know what it was "back in your day" (I feel like I'm giving you 'a big "OK, Boomer"' here); but these days, it's pretty-much NOTHING. I mean; when I was in my 20s, maybe 23 was 'a big deal' ... and then, "Whoa! I'm a THIRTY-SOMETHING?"

She has forgotten your son's birthday, that cannot be the sole reason to judge her. It has been just a couple of months since they started dating. Give them space and time. As a parent of a son, you have nothing to lose.

It is a bit odd to me that she didn't remember his birthday. When Mike and I started dating we celebrated each other's birthdays from the get go. But I don't know much about the girl. Is she normally forgetful? I wonder how she is with remembering others birthdays. As you said is she really looking for a long term relationship or not? I hope your son doesn't get his heart broken.

Happy Belated Birthday to your son. If they had been dating for about 6 months, I might think more about it; but perhaps she has something planned for him or maybe she's not sure what to do about a gift because it's only been a short time. Maybe she feels guilty about not giving a gift and just figured she wouldn't mention it? It could be a lot of things.

Happy birthday to your son and congratulations for you as a successul mother raised son into man!
It's not common for a girl forgets the boy's big birthday who already gets her heart I think as well. And more important thing is to ask your son's feelings, and ask how he feels about the relationship. No matter what, even gets heart broken can help a man grow, and that's helpful for him to find the true girl in future.
