Proteins instead of carbs: my diet.

Today I wondered about what would I have at tea time. The easy thing now is a smoothie instead of a big sandwich. It is not that I don´t like bread. I love it. But now I am using bread instead of potatoes, rice or pasta. I made a banana and strawberry smoothie and later on I´ll make an omelette with some chives and a bit of diced cheese. There are some things though that I don´t accept. I like whole milk instead of uncreamed milk. We need some fat. And although I don´t eat sugar, I eat fruit. In a little over a month I have gone down around 7 pounds. With another 7 to go I´ll be absolutely fit Do you diet once in a while? How?

I diet a lot due to my doctor asking me to lose weight to control my risk of getting diabetes.

I do mostly low carb too but I'm trying to have that as my regular diet rather than needing to go on a diet. I was doing very well and need to get back to my plan again. Did you mean to say that your are staying away from bread along with pasta, rice or potatoes?

I eat little of them but have not stopped eating them altogether. I don´t want to feeh cravings.

@marguicha I’ve suddenly started eating a lot of fruit, especially berries. Also eating more fish and less potatoes and pasta. I’m feeling better for it.

I can't diet I just don't want to go that route. I change what I eat and do the best I can to work out. diets for me are a no-no.

Congratulations on the weight loss. I have been stuck at 6 lbs. now for quite some time. I diet by just eating three small meals and not doing any snacking.

I used to go on a diet every time we traveled to the United States, it's incredible how I gained 3 pounds in 3 weeks there. It was always a high protein diet.
