What happened? Let Facebook block a country!

Facebook "blocked" Australian news. As soon as the news came out, it immediately made the front page headlines of the major news media. Think about it. The social app you use every day suddenly can't check the news of your country. Isn't it stupid! What happened? Let Facebook block a country!

It is because Australia are making a law where FB would have to pay publishers for content. They didn't want to pay so stopped news being allowed. They've reversed that now though I think.

I was not expecting Facebook would reverse this way. Now I am starting to assume what if Facebook start controlling what news to run and blocked after negotiation (in case happen). Social media platform is to share any information by any individuals, party, agency etc however it still confused me.

Any work needs to be respected, and it's wrong for FB to report the news without paying.

Think about who runs Facebook for a second. They tend to block people, news etc that the owners don't agree with. If social media tries to share an opinion that might make someone start thinking for themselves, it gets banned. It's no secret, that Facebook once conducted an experiment on people without their content and knowledge.that was designed to see if social media could make a person depressed. And, it worked. Facebook has become toxic and while I know a few people on there, I don't check it frequently.

People's thinking can't be stopped. Everyone has the right to think.
