Oh, you want to know who’s #2 after yesterday. Too bad. You have to sit through a bonus band first.
A band that didn’t make my list of favorite bands with multiple lead singers, but they’re included because they did do a couple of songs that I absolutely LOVE. So here they are.
Bonus #2: Pink Floyd
Pink did the singing, and Floyd was the barber, right?
One of the most successful bands in classic rock history. Sometimes you think of David Gilmour as the primary singer, because after all, he sang lead on “Money.” Or maybe Roger Waters, because he pretty much sang everything on Animals. Everybody sang in the band, though.
Gilmour sort of became de facto lead vocalist when Sid Barrett didn’t show up one night early in the band’s career. The “crazy diamond” (who inspired “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”) left Pink Floyd, and Pink Floyd left the stratosphere with albums like Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, both of which are being enjoyed today by people who weren’t born when they were originally released.
Thought I’d leave these guys off, even if they aren’t favorites? Ha ha, charade you are!

Lead singers: David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright, Sid Barrett
