Uhm... no. If my inside broom starts looking a little shaggy, it 'graduates' to become my garage/front porch broom and I buy a new one for in the house. (My daughter and I moved November 2019. We no longer have an inside broom.) Everything is carpeted in this house so we use a Shark broom vac inside now. If/When we need more than the broom vac can do we have a steamer vac out in the garage that we can bring in and use.

Does the shark vac work on tile as well as carpet? We're needing something like that.

@AngelisaQT Yes, it actually works better on tile than it does on carpet unless the carpet is really short. It can't handle carpet that is very long at all.
The Shark we have is cordless. It takes around 4 hours to give it a full charge and it runs for around 45 minutes after that. It has a really strong suction to it, too!

@DaddyEvil What is the specific name so I can look it up on Ebay? We really need that.

NO I don’t give my broom a haircut but I will definitely be doing this when it needs it though thanks for the tip.

I do! Getting rid of those "split ends" makes a difference.

@AngelisaQT Yes, I remember my mom doing it when I was little too. I once found a broom in the basement that had gone through a few "haircuts" and the bristles were so short! She used that one for scrubbing the cinderblock walls with soapy water, almost like a scrub brush with a handle.

Wow, I am not alone! I thought for sure nobody on here would say they done it too.

@spiderdust That's a good idea for when the bristles get too short. I could use that for scrubbing my outdoor patio areas.
