About my assessment.

Just want to start this off by saying hello and I hope you're all well! I haven't been on much. Just having another one of those phases. Things are ok here. Though, my Poppy had a fall today. He blacked out and fell, hit his head and hurt his back. My dad and brother had to rush to Nan and Pop's house to help get him off the ground as my Nanny cannot do that herself. My Poppy is ok, he is just sore. Other than that, I haven't been much in the mood for talking here. As much as I love MyLot, just sometimes I am not in the mood. But I still do genuinely hope you're all well and wonder often how people are doing here. I know I still have things to tell you about what happened on my birthday and I will still do that soon. Anyway, I don't know if anyone remembers me being stressed ages ago about an assessment I had to do for my Childcare Course. It was about an activity I had to do with the children that speaks about 3 cultures. But was unable to due to being sick. But last week? Week before? Pfft I don't know, (honestly, I'm not with it right now) I did this assessment, and my teacher had no negative feedback. It was all positive so YAY. That's done and dusted. I printed out 3 flags and spoke about what the colours represented. I also had pictures printed out of foods / traditional dishes from those places and talked to the children about them. Then for their activity, I had another set of flags printed out but I cut them to make them look like a little jig-saw. So the children played with them and pieced them together. I was so stressed about this but my teacher had no complaints so I'm very happy about that. There is two weeks left regarding Prac which I believe is on the 15th of March but my class is still going til about early April from memory. I have another Discussion I would like to post soon about a little boy at the childcare centre. Cute little boy but his behaviour is concerning. He punched me in my damn eye! Will post that story sometime soon. (my tonight). Til then.... ****photo is mine****

@VivaLaDani13 I sorry what happened to your Poppy. I am so so sorry. I am glad he is ok. I can see why you have not been here much because you have had a lot on your plate. Sometimes we just need time for ourselves and do not feel not interacting so understand why you have not been here much. Happy belated birthday. When was it? I remember how hard it was for you and that you got sick and could not get well and how frustrated you were with all of it. I am so goad it worked out and sounds like the kids loved the flags. Why did he punch you in the eye?

@Hannihar Thank you for your supportive comments. I plan to just do whatever I can to make extra cash. I have a lot of things to sell too so hopefully that can help. Unfortunately, as I am only a student, I am not in any position to know anything such as his home life. If I was an actual educator and worked there I would be able to get more details but for now his behaviour is a complete mystery to me. I wish I knew though.

@Hannihar Thank you kindly Hanni. I am going to try hard to be on here a lot as I am so far behind with things. Plus, I am needing to try really hard to earn extra money. Since my dad has not been working, he has had to dig into his savings and those savings are nearly gone. So my rent has had to go up too. I'm also stressed about that too. Thank you for the birthday wishes too. Very sweet of you. Was on the 13th of February. He punched me because I told him to stop slapping another boy. I've noticed that when you tell him to stop doing something naughty, he does another big thing to make himself become ever more naughtier. He is quite difficult to handle.

@VivaLaDani13 I am so so sorry that his savings are nearly gone and your rent is going up. I can see why you want to make extra money. He sounds like he has issues. What is his home life like? Are you ok and so so sorry that he punched you. It sounds like he has anger issues and something is going on with him why he behaves that way.

I am sorry for your Poppy, I hope he is fine and the fall has no consequences. I hope you can relax now that you printed the flags and the food and your teacher is happy. I see the Italian flag on the right and spaghetti.

@VivaLaDani13 I am so sorry for your Poppy, senile dementia is a real problem, I hope he is fine. Most kids around the world like pizza and spaghetti, Italian food is pretty popular.

@LadyDuck Thank you Anna. He is alright. Sadly this has been going on a lot since he started taking some medication for his dementia. He just blacks out. Yep! That one was easy to talk to the children about because they love their pastas / spaghetti.

@LadyDuck Thank you. It is very sad. When my Nan and Pop saw me for my birthday, my Pop was looking very skinny. He has been having a lot of trouble eating lately. I don't know if that is part of it but he looked so different. He asked me about 10 times how old I just turned in the space of about 20 minutes. That made me sad how he not only kept forgetting the answer, but he forgot he even asked the question. I just kept telling him the answer and speaking to him as if I've answered it for the first time too. I'd never speak to anyone who suffers this in a hurried manner or impatient manner. Not his fault / their fault when they have to deal with this.

@lovinangelsinstead21 That is true. I have handled other children's naughty behaviour but this boy is just so difficult. Good practice in a way though! Thank you kindly!

@VivaLaDani13 Thanks goodness you did not have my eldest that threw tantrums on the floor when he was small and did not give the tantrum up till everyone was glaring at me instead.

Hello.Dani! Good to see you. How old is Poppy? Glad he is okay now. It is hard for old people to fall. That is one rude little boy.

@Janet357 Hey! Good to see you too! My Poppy is 87 I THINK! Or maybe 86. I'm really not sure. The poor thing just keeps having black outs and he often hurts himself on impact. Oh he sure is! I've never encountered a child like him before.
