Thanks to the kind heart of a thrift store employee in Phoenix Arizona who accepted a donation box from a customer that had a Purple Heart medal which is priceless, the volunteer named Tessa Ferrin decided to track down the owner of the medal that is awarded to soldiers who have been wounded or passed away in combat instead of keeping the medal. When Tessa found out that the owner of the medal was the late Erik Karl Blauberg who passed away in the 1980s while living in Apache Junction, she decided to contact any living relatives of the deceased war veteran to reunite with the medal to its owner. Tessa then used Facebook to track down Lisa Walker who is one of his daughters to inform her of the good news that a medal that her late dad had earned during the war which I am not sure which one it was. Walker who is one of eight children was not exactly close to her late dad during her childhood. Walker is happy that her late dad's Purple Heart medal is now reunited with her and her relatives at last even though her late dad is not around to celebrate the reunion. I admire the act of kindness that Tessa did locating the relative of the lost Purple Heart medal instead of giving it away or selling it to another customer.
