Ways To Give: The Salvation Army

You have probably heard of the Salvation Army, yes?
There are so many ways to give.
My personal way of giving is going to their store and buying items, from clothes to books to etc. Once I bought 5 pairs of blue jeans for 99 cents each! There used to be a book called The Ultimate Tea Diet by Mark "Mr Tea" Ukra that I had wanted forever but could not afford. I found the book at the Salvation Army for less than $5.00.
Do you have items that you would like to give? If you cannot drop off, contact them, and then they can pick up!
One person's trash is another person's treasure. Right?

When I was a child, my father went to work as a scientist to the US. The salary was reasonable for one person; we were five. My parents rented a run down house and remodeled it as much as they could. Then both of them went to the Salvation Army and got from beds to living room furniture. My mom did miracles with her sewing machine. She bought material and upholstered everything. I have some of them in my house still. Now they are antiques.

@Spontaneo I have visited the US several times along the years. I never wanted to stay, but visits were nice.

I really appreciate the work the Salvation Army does to help so many. I give all my donations to them.
