Check your Email. It is Paypal Scam Time.

I got an email saying that $799 and a chunk of change will be withdrawn from my Paypal. I have to call the number to confirm or deny the charge.
I was not about to do that so I went to my Paypal, saw only one suspicious thing, and changed my password. The suspicious thing is that the $50 payment from an online earning site was not there. Now I have to find out what I did wrong.
I forwarded the scam email to spoof@paypal.com. I hope they let me know if it was legit.
It seems that there are many desperate people out there trying to rip us off. Take care. Have you had any scams messing with you or your money lately?

I can't count how many scams I have dealt with lately--whether on the computer or the phone.

I get those emails all the time, but they automatically go right into my spam folder instead of my inbox.
Because I know that PayPal has been hacked before, I log in frequently to check my balance and any activity on my account.

The real paypal has a distinct way and that one must first learn.

Once you sent an email to the spoof department of any online site your part is done and they never tell you anything about it.
If it were me, I'd check with the site that was supposed to send you the $50 and make sure it isn't held up for any reason. If they claim they sent it, then call PayPal's customer service number and ask them if they received it.
