Ron Milburn who is a resident of Davenport Iowa is grateful to be alive after his service of four years named Kenna alerted her owner that something was not right when Ron was asleep in his bed around midnight on Thursday.
Since dogs have a sixth sense so to speak, Kenna managed to get the attention of her owner that a fire was about to start inside of his mobile home since his bedroom was dark as the ace of spades.
Ron went back inside of his bedroom to check on the breaker switches when he caught the smell of burning rubber.
Ron then went to a service station nearby to buy a flashlight to check out what was the problem why he did not have any electrical power inside of his trailer while his neighbors did not have that same problem.
When he came back from the trip to the gasoline station, his trailer home had caught fire.
Kenna who was with her owner when the fire started is being called Ron's guardian angel since Ron mentioned that if his dog not alerted him of the possible fire inside of his trailer home, he and his pet would not be able alive today.
The Davenport firefighters did put out the fire after Ron or a concerned citizen contacted 911 to report the incident.
The American Red Cross is assisting Ron and Kenna find a temporary home after the fire destroyed his current mobile home.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the fire which most likely be caused by an electrical defect inside the mobile home.
