Below the photo of mother and daughter is written : Even the burgular who threatened half a dozen times to blow them into eternity admitted that Daughter (13) and mother (second woman -below) were plucky little women.
Plucky meaning courageous.
Well then. That's all I have to say to that.

At first I was insulted because of the wording. I thought it was an insult to the women.

@LindaOHio I've heard it a few times in my life, but you're right, it's not a normal part of my vocabulary.
Last Saturday I spent time with two of my best friends and one friend's niece. We started to talk about how some of the lingo her niece used was completely foreign to us.
I guess we've reached that age where we can now understand why our parents seemed bewildered and confused by our slang.

Never judge a female based on their looks. A lot of them that I know are smarter than the average bear in the woods.

Very true, but the same can be said of either gender.

@Deepizzaguy Right. We just can't be too careful. These criminal masterminds hide in plain sight.

@ScribbledAdNauseum You are right since I do remember horror stories of the serial killer Ted Bundy (RIP) who pretended to be a cool person before rubbing out his victim.

I thought I'd heard of it being used that way too.

I hate burglars since they came to my house while I was here.

We had a few close calls here over the years too.
We came home once and interrupted a burgular who ran out.

@DaddyEvil That's okay, you don't have to agree with me.
I know I'm right.

I've heard the word before. I actually had to look up the meaning because I was feeling a little insulted on the ladies behalf at first. I thought it was some sort of insult at first.
