In London this month a young woman was kidnapped and murdered by an out of uniform policeman, allegedly . Women and activists alike have been protesting about it because, firstly , its one of them killed and they wanted to express how unsafe they feel at night on the streets and secondly Coronavirus has denied the chance of a vigil for her. They had the vigil anyway and it turned ugly with women being arrested and bundled to the floor in handcuffs when they started making aggressive political speeches at the gathering. The police did not handle it well but the law is the law.
The dead lady called Sarah Everard was white , pretty, middle class and had a good job , the type of ladies that dont really feature in the 200 or so women murdered in the U.K every year, perhaps why the outcry..Most if not all of the other 200 women did not get a vigil. Some would say the protesters were mostly from that demographic. A closer inspection of the arrested showed they were activists and rebel rousers, many involved in the LGBT and feminist movement, The vigil wasn't hijacked so much but organised by women looking for a fight, the usual anti male crowd that call all men rapists etc...
Now, if the copper was black would they dare call this vigil, feeling they would be called racist as black men five times more likely to be murders in London due to knife and gang crime.? Why dont they want to talk about the real threat in London to men and women? Indeed the murder of middle class women accounts for about 2% of the capitals deaths. Why do we get so worked up when attractive educated people die than ugly working class people?

Because majority people think they deserve to live more than those who are ugly.
I remember hearing jokes saying it’s ok for ugly people to die coz then that’s one less ugly person in the world. Not funny at all.

I would not comment anything to ignite the talk of racism, discrimination etc. But yes every life matters irrespective of the colour, gender, creed etc. Each one has a right to safety and right to live

I feel sorry for the families of the victims because they have enough problems and heartache to go through.
