Another Bucket List Goal Accomplished...

Today and yesterday.... I was finally able to take care of (in full)...the two personal financial obligations that had been weighing heavily on my heart and mind, for the last few years. It is a nice feeling to "owe no man a thing, but to love them."

I know what you mean. I was finally able to pay off a store card today.

I have done a couple of those too. It is nice not to have someone "own" you until you can pay them off.

@teresatrotter I agree. I have some friends who borrowed money from and didn’t pay up and now they don’t talk to me

@sol_cee They probably feel guilty and don't want you to remind them they owe it to you. LOL However... If they would just talk to you, I imagine you would try to work something out with them. Money is not worth losing a friendship pver.

Many of us here know what you mean. To not have any debts would be really nice.

I try to pay all my debts and credit cards off every month. Sometimes I can't... But these two I just spoke of...came from personal friends who helped me when I was homeless during the worst time in my life. I promised to pay them back. It did not happen as quickly as I had hoped. But now they are both paid off in full.

You never asked. I thought yours was a gift. The two I paid back, it was understood from the beginning it was a loan. Now if you would like me to resend you the emails you sent me stating it was gift, I will be happy to. Everyone else who helped me during those hard times did it as a gift. But the two I paid back, even told me that I could take as long as I needed to... It took three years to save up for one, and five years for the other. And I owed them less than what I thought you gave me as a gift. I only make $823 a month in social security. So if you want yours back, it could take me a while to save it up. I had no idea you would say such a thing to me. You are the one who offered to help me. Now I wish I had not allowed you to...
