You just need to plant it once and the black eyed susran will spread in your garden like wild fire. Some call it the one eyed susan. I have another flower that looks the same but it is white in colour with no black eye.
I liked the way nature has done some magic the way the black eyed susan cascades in this photo.
What art work has nature done around you?

The foliage of this calathea Makoyana is an art itself. This plant is also know as the peacock plant and that’s because the pattern on its leaf is similar to that of a peacock feather. nature is amazing.

The leaves are indeed artistic. Nature is indeed amazing. I have flowers that are named after the peacock.

@toniganzon I love those plants! I think they are the same ones which are known as Prayer plants? Here you sometimes see them as house plants, I used to have one which I loved but unfortunately it withered away years ago when we moved house because before that we lived in a really warm house and the later one was a lot colder.

@Fleura oh i have this inside the house. I just place it outside to be watered and yes they are called prayer plants. Their leave move in a prayer position at night and opens up during the day. I have 4 varieties of calatheas. They don’t like direct sunlight, their leaves easily burn so they’re not outdoor plants. They can thrive even in low light coz the inside of my house doesn’t have bright light.

I too go for colour rather than anything exotic.
