My neighborhood is in lockdown again.

Not that I care. I will not go out until April. There are 2 reasons in my country for the grownth of the covid as I see it. The first one are parties. The cops will write down names but nothing is done towards ending them. The second (or should I say the first) is that our government instructions are chaotic. They chose churches but open malls. They close schools but accept vacations and holidays. Now, in spite of the success in vaccination polities (that have been working for other ailments for decades here, covid cases are growing. I´m mad.

People's irresponsibility leads to the increase of the cases.

The cases are on the rise in most countries now. We cannot take our eyes off the ball and this virus means business!

@Shiva49 Alas, carelessness, misinformation and impatience has led to rise in many cases. Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and now seemingly Delhi is also seeing a rise. Let us hope things become stricter but severe lockdowns also impact many negatively.

@marguicha Some people thought "Now that vaccinations have started, why fear?" and some even started moving out without masks. India had 46k cases on Sunday - up from an average of 8 to 10k just some 20 odd days back. It is getting serious now.

Carelessness, over confidence, impatience and laxity - all these have led to a Covid resurgence in India as well. Some cities have gone into a lockdown. I hope that the situation is controlled soon.

@JWMILLER We have vaccinated a lot of people. The problem lies in authorities and some people.

We went to India a few years ago. I have been concerned about India. The U S is having problems, but vaccines ate being used.

Same here in the Philippines. For three straight days, we have been posting record-highs of infected cases. It doesn't help that the government has no concrete plan to resolve this.

@marguicha same here. Every day sets a new record for number of infections. Our government got loans, the country is in huge debt and there are no vaccines available.

WE have a wonderful organization as vaccines go. But many people go around without using masks or social distance and we have 7000000 people in my city.

It's ridiculuous that they shut some things but allow others to continue functionning. The virus will never end while they do this.

@marguicha Here is it the police's job to enforce the law and fine those that do not wear masks but instead they turn the other way and do not do anything.

Too many people worldwide are not wearing their masks or practicing social distancing. There were tens of thousands of people in Florida for spring break; and I didn't see any with masks on. They had it on the news.

WE had that here too. And the government gave permits for vacations. The beaches were full in places where there were no hospitals.
